Our Story

Lexi Georgeff

The Love for Lexi Foundation

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to raising public awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donation as well as helping children who are affected by gastrointestinal dysfunction. Some of our primary functions are offering grants or assistance to families of children with gastrointestinal disorders and other disabilities who demonstrate a financial need and supporting gastrointestinal research at major medical institutions.

Our daughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Georgeff, was born with Chronic Neuropathic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction which caused her intestinal function to fail. While on the waiting list for a multi-organ transplant, several fundraising events were conducted to help our family with unforeseen medical expenses. Upon Lexi’s death at age fourteen, these funds were used to establish the Love 4 Lexi (L4L) Foundation, Inc. to help other children and families in need such as our own.

Today, we continue to fundraise in Lexi’s memory to help families of sick children in the Ozaukee County community (and surrounding areas) who need assistance paying medical bills, support gastrointestinal research and raise public awareness of the critical need for organ and tissue donations.
We are the largest local foundation that you’ve never heard of and are always looking for more families to help in our community. If you or someone you know is in need of financial assistance for medical related expenses, please contact us today.

Thank you and best wishes,
Dale and Karla Georgeff.
